Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a project delivery approach that is gaining attention throughout the construction industry.
IPD integrates people, systems, business structures and practices into a process that collaboratively harnesses the talents and insights of all participants to reduce waste and optimize efficiency through all phases of design, fabrication and construction.
To date, just one project has been completed in Michigan using the IPD system - the Emergency Department Expansion at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
On April 20th, members of the Washtenaw Contractors Association, the Huron Valley Chapter of AIA, and local facility owners will gather to learn about the experiences that the owner, the architect and the contractor on the Hurley project had using the Integrated Project Delivery method.
The meeting will be conducted in the Celtic Room at Conor O'Neill's in downtown Ann Arbor
