MSUFCU Headquarters - Hard Hat Tour
AIA Huron Valley is partnering with AIA Mid-Michigan to tour the new Michigan State University Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) Headquarters 2 building in East Lansing Michigan designed by Ann Arbor based Daniels and Zermack Architects. The building is scheduled to open in late summer 2017 and is rapidly approaching full enclosure.
A quick building overview:
Approximately 182,000 square feet
3 floors + full basement
Underfloor air distribution system and underfloor power and data distribution system
The building will be office use that will house a Call Center, E-Commerce and IT departments and is on the same property as their original Headquarters (also designed by our firm)
The Tour of the Michigan State Federal Credit Union’s Second Headquarters Building will be comprehensive and include the following learning objectives:
1. Learn about Under floor air distribution (UFAD) systems and 18” raised floor system, including the most recent technology on UFAD hydronic diffusers.
2. Learn about open office lighting strategies and underfloor power and data distribution for open office environments.
3. Learn about lessons learned on structural and masonry details as they are implemented in the field.
4. Learn about high performing envelope design strategies, continuous insulation and Envelope Commissioning.
This event is being submitted for AIA Continuing Education and should provide 1 LU/HSW.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Attendees will need to have hard hat, boots, safety glasses, and hi-vis outer wear. Daniels and Zermack will have extras on hand if needed, but please bring your own if possible. Pre-registration required.
